Drum Operator $16.50/hour

Our potatoes are a HOT commodity . . . due to steam and our process for turning a raw potato into potato flakes, Drum Operators can work in a hot environment. They have the important job of monitoring the drum dehydrators and related equipment to help ensure our products are of the finest quality. Drum Operators move hot, cooked potato mash; change out equipment as necessary; watch for and eliminate defects. Drum Operators avoid cross-contamination and keep tools and equipment clean and sterile.

Must be willing to work in hot temperatures with occasional low visibility due to steam. Must be able to safely work around moving machinery and follow good manufacturing practices. Will be required to stand, bend, or move repetitively for up to 12 hours.

Permanent, year-round position working 12-hour shifts with scheduled days off. The schedule is from 8:00am - 8:00pm rotating every three months to 8:00pm - 8:00am. 

Flumer $13.00/hour

It can be a dirty job . . . but we know you'll rock it! Our Flumers are the first line of defense against rocks and the soil Idaho's famous potatoes grow in . . . Flumers help keep them out, so only the freshest spuds get in! Using hand tools and a good eye for detail, you will move potatoes from the raw receiving area to the raw sort area through the use of water and a shovel. You will conduct tests to measure peel loss, and keep bays, flumes, raw sort and waste plant areas clean and free of debris. We are conscious of our environment and our Flumer can help by being conservative with water usage and cautious with chemical usage. 

This is an entry-level position, on-the-job training is available. Familiarity with potato dehydration or warehouse functions helpful, but not required. Opportunities to advance!

Maintenance Mechanic starting at $20.50/hour

Responsible for the maintenance of equipment throughout the plant including production areas, packaging areas, raw receiving areas, wastewater treatment, buildings and structures, warehouses, and company property. Will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, inspect/test equipment, diagnose and repair parts and machinery as necessary.

A strong mechanical background is required. Must be able to read and understand parts manuals, schematics, and tools used to repair and maintenance.

Parts & Locker Room Clerk $16.50/hour

The Parts and Locker Room Clerk's primary responsibility is to assist packaging and production personnel by retrieving requested tools or parts. Will track inventory of tools, parts, and supplies and maintain records and logs of items requested, as well as assist in the overall organization of the parts dept. Will assist in laundering of uniforms/overalls; completing requisitions and purchase orders; coordinating the retrieval of needed items from near-by suppliers; and assist in the cleanliness and maintenance of employee lockers and locker rooms.

Production Bagger $14.50/hour

Great paying job and advancement opportunities - it's in the bag! Our Production Baggers assist us with labeling, bagging, stacking and palletizing finished product. This position requires lifting, moving, and stacking bagged product weighing up to 66 pounds. You'll also have the important task of readying bagged product for shipping, after ensuring the highest quality product before it goes out. Production Baggers are in a good place for advance ment opportunities as many move on to Lead positions.

The Successful Applicant will have good attention to detail and the ability to read scales and equipment used for weighing and measuring.

Production Sanitation $13.50/hour

The Sanitation position will clean, wash, scrub, rinse, sterilize and/or sanitize potato dehydration equipment, Peeler and Cooker Deck areas to maintain a clean and sanitary environment. May use high pressure hoses or nozzles, dry cleaning methods, or other cleaning and sanitizing methods as directed. Sanitation must always keep food safety and personnel safety a priority through the proper mixing of, handling, and use of industrial strength chemicals and cleaning agents.

The successful applicant must be committed to and comply with all plant and company good manufacturing practices. You must also be willing to bend, stretch, lift, reach, climb, crawl, grasp, crouch, and perform repetitive motions as required.

Shift Manager

Shift Managers help lead and oversee our facility during off-hours or times when management is not present or available. Responsibilities include oversight of production, quality, maintenance, safety, food safety, sanitation and personnel. Legible record-keeping in English necessary. Bi-lingual in English/Spanish helpful, but not required. Prior supervisory experience necessary, knowledge of food manufacturing very helpful. Shift Managers work a 12-hour schedule, 8:00am - 8:00pm., rotating every three months to 8:00pm –8:00am. This is a hands-on opportunity that can be very physical.

Sorter $13/hour

This position is primarily responsible for monitoring product to ensure a sufficient amount of potatoes are available and notifying the Flummer when there are not enough raw potatoes or when there are problems. Must visually check each holding tank to make sure lines stay full and be able to make adjustments to the peeler and communicate with the Flummer.

Double, double, boil and there's no trouble! Our Boiler Operators keep us  running and operational - we use heat and steam generated by our boilers to help cook our potato products - keeping the Boiler maintained is critical, who likes under-cooked potatoes? Duties include (but are not limited to) starting the Boiler, regulating and monitoring, maintenance, repair, testing, and occasional shut-down of the Boiler and related machinery. Permanent, year-round position working 8-hour shifts. Shifts rotate from days to swings to graveyard - shift differentials offered! 

Drum Operator $17.00/hour

Drum sanitation gets the scoop! Using scoops (or food-grade shovels), this position will relieve Drum Operators, and assist with the sanitation and cleanliness of the dehydrator area of responsibility. This includes (but is not limited to) cleaning and sanitizing the floor, helping change drum applicator knives, ensures foreign material does not get into our products, and emptying waste buckets or removing waste. This is a year-round, permanent position that is hands-on and very physical. Drum Sanitation/Drum Operator Relief will work in hot environments and under steamy conditions.

Processing Bagger / Palletizer $14.25 / hour

Bag your new job! Our Processing Baggers / Palletizers assist us with labeling, bagging, stacking and palletizing finished product. This position requires lifting, moving, and stacking bagged product weighing up to 66 pounds. You'll also have the important tasks of ensuring bag weighs correctly, is sealed and date coded, and only the best product goes on to be shipped to our customers world-wide!

Processing Chip Sampler $12.75/hour

Responsible for quality assurance of product from OptiSort Unit. Act at all times in such a manner as to comply with good manufacturing practices, food safety, and food quality including; Proper dress code, personal cleanliness, neatness and follow proper sanitation procedures. This position monitors and operates equipment on the product lines, and trains and assists in the supervision of others. 

Must be able to help professionally delegate duties, assist other operators/positions where needed, and train and assist in the supervision of personnel. Will identify any maintenance needs on the produdct lines and communicate this to the Shift Supervisor and/or shift mechanic.
