Drum Operator $16.50/hour

Drum Operators monitor the drum dehydrators and related equipment to help ensure our products are of the finest quality. Drum Operators move hot, cooked potato mash; change out equipment as necessary; watch for and eliminate defects. Drum Operators avoid cross-contamination and keep tools and equipment clean and sterile; AND work in a safe manner; other duties as assigned.

Must be willing to work in hot temperatures with occasional low visibility due to steam. Must be able to safely work around moving machinery and follow good manufacturing practices. Will be required to stand, bend, or move repetitively for up to 12 hours.

Flake Line Operator $18.00/hour

The Flake Line Operator’s position involves monitoring and operating equipment on the flake product line. Responsibilities include keeping the product within specifications and maintaining high quality. Will be required to work with the Quality Assurance department and Drum Operators to accomplish this.

Must be able to professionally delegate duties, assist other operators/positions where needed, and train and assist in the supervision of personnel. Will identify any maintenance needs on the flake line and communicate this to the Shift Manager and/or shift mechanic.

Flumer $13.00/hour

The Flumer will have the responsibility to move potatoes from the raw receiving area to the raw sort area through the use of water and a shovel. In addition, the Flumer will conduct tests to measure peel loss. Will keep bays, flumes, raw sort and waste plant areas clean and free of debris while being conservative with water usage and cautious with chemical usage.

Inspection Table $13.00/hour

This position is primarily responsible for the removal of any debris, foreign material, and rotten, green, or out of specification (high peel) potatoes. Send necessary potatoes to the granule line, unless this line is not running, then this position requires the manual removal of defects by the use of a hand-held knife. This position may be asked to help with Sanitation duties as required.

Lab Technician $17.50/hour

The Lab Technician will be testing the physical and chemical properties of in-process and finished product, maintaining appropriate records and logs in English, performing regular and routine maintenance and cleaning of lab equipment, and assisting in recording minor injuries and first aid treatment, other duties as assigned.

The successful applicant will have a high school diploma or equivalent (lab experience preferred), able to closely follow written and verbal instruction, have basic computer knowledge, knowledge of math functions including percents and decimals, occasionally lift up to 50lbs, climb a ladder and stand, bend or move repetitively for up to 12 hours.

Maintenance Mechanic starting at $20.50/hour

Responsible for the maintenance of equipment throughout the plant including production areas, packaging areas, raw receiving areas, wastewater treatment, buildings and structures, warehouses, and company property. Will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, inspect/test equipment, diagnose and repair parts and machinery as necessary.

A strong mechanical background is required. Must be able to read and understand parts manuals, schematics, and tools used to repair and maintenance.

The Sanitation position will clean, wash, scrub, rinse, sterilize and/or sanitize potato dehydration equipment, Peeler and Cooker Deck areas to maintain a clean and sanitary environment. May use high pressure hoses or nozzles, dry cleaning methods, or other cleaning and sanitizing methods as directed. Sanitation must always keep food safety and personnel safety a priority through the proper mixing of, handling, and use of industrial strength chemicals and cleaning agents.

Drum sanitation gets the scoop! Using scoops (or food-grade shovels), this position will relieve Drum Operators, and assist with the sanitation and cleanliness of the dehydrator area of responsibility. This includes (but is not limited to) cleaning and sanitizing the floor, helping change drum applicator knives, ensures foreign material does not get into our products, and emptying waste buckets or removing waste. Processing Chip Sampler $12.75/hour

Responsible for quality assurance of product from OptiSort Unit. Act at all times in such a manner as to comply with good manufacturing practices, food safety, and food quality including; Proper dress code, personal cleanliness, neatness and follow proper sanitation procedures. Maintenance Supervisor

The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the maintenance of our food processing equipment, supervise maintenance personnel, and keeping our equipment in top-notch condition and safe for operation. This position will work under the direction of the Plant Manager and will be involved with the maintenance, repair, or replacement of parts and equipment throughout the manufacturing and production areas, packaging areas, raw receiving areas, buildings and structures, warehouses, offices, and company grounds. Maintenance tasks include, but are not limited to: overseeing the preventative maintenance program, troubleshooting, inspection, testing, diagnostics, maintenance, repair, removal and replacement of parts and/or equipment, and keeping the areas of responsibility audit-ready at all times. Must ensure machinery and equipment are maintained to regulatory and company standards and are safe for operation. Supervisory responsibilities include overseeing maintenance personnel, time-keeping, performance management, scheduling, assigning work activities, and prioritizing tasks.The Maintenance Supervisor will report to the Assistant Plant Manager and the Plant Manager.

Sanitation $13.50/hour

Responsible for keeping the processing plant, offices and front office in a clean and professional state. Must follow all policies and procedures under the direction of the Plant Sanitarian. Help ensure compliance with all customer (internal and external) and governmental requirements.

Must have knowledge of a food production facility and experience in the appropriate use of cleaning chemicals and chemical safety. Must be able to certify in the required areas of responsibility.

We offer full-time, year-round permanent positions working 12 hour shifts.

Shift Supervisor

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the production, maintenance and sanitation activities and personnel within his or her area of responsibility, and toward the goal of producing high-quality, cost-effective potato products. The Shift Supervisor is also responsible for overseeing the entire plant during off hours, weekends, and times when the Production and/or Plant Managers are not present. The Shift Supervisor ensures that all employees working in and around other areas of the plant are working safety and efficiently and immediately reports any issues to the appropriate supervisor. Personnel Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) hiring, supervision, some payroll functions, training, time-keeping, record keeping, employee relations, corrective actions, and working with management for safety, training, development, return-to-work programs, and employee communications.  This is a full time year round permanent position. 12-hour shifts, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. OR 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. required. Schedules rotate from day to night monthly. The Shift Supervisor must also be available as relief Shift Supervisor for other hours/shifts. Holidays and weekend work necessary. Relocation assistance is not available.

Trim Table/Inspection Table $13/hour

Agglomerate Line Operator

The Agglomerate Line Operator manages operation and equipment of product line. Must keep the product in specification while still maintaining high quality product. Must be able to keep accurate and legible records. Responsibilities include ensuring that the product being packaged is in specification and to work with the QA and Granule Operators to make a quality cost effective product, checking scales and tote weights at the beginning and during the shift, meeting all QA specifications on all finished product; including physical attributes as well as proper labeling for all totes, being responsible for housekeeping and general appearance of agglomerate line and surrounding area, checking at the start of the shift and during product changes that the totes, date codes, stickers, etc. are correct for product that they are running, practicing good safety practices at all times, keeping Food Service supervisor informed of progress and/or problems, and completing other responsibilities deemed necessary by supervisor. The successful applicant will have good oral/written communication skills, excellent leadership skills, ability to work well with supervisor and other employees, have the ability to analyze, troubleshoot and correct situations and be reliable and able to work overtime as needed. Some heavy lifting may be required (up to 50 lbs.) and you may be in contact with dust or chemicals. 

Lead Hand/Supervisor

As a Lead Hand, you will have a very thorough understanding of the overall potato granule plant. Reporting directly to the Shift Manager, you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of the granule dry process. This position operates on a scheduled 12-hour day/night shift, with overtime a possibility. Responsibilities include monitoring all area process parameters in the production line, troubleshooting and corrects problems to ensure optimum operating conditions, interpreting analytical and operating reports, working with the control room to review line performance, line parameters and lab results on line study, overseeing additive batches and flow rates, reporting and communication with the Shift Manager on line performance, employee performance, safety issues and any other issues pertinent to the production line, operating and oversee operation of the forklift and Hoist, recording and removal of disintegrated and fractionated production waste, seeing to the line workers needs i.e.: safety wear, performing routine maintenance and repair according to plant practice, assists plant maintenance when necessary, informing other employees of unsafe working and operating practices, and reports any action he/she sites to supervisor if not corrected immediately, performing any duty assigned, including plant clean-up, housekeeping or operation of any area required, ensuring all daily operating reports are properly kept and following all housekeeping policies according to good manufacturing practices. The successful candidate will have good writing, communication and math skills, experience in an automated food processing plant an asset, excellent housekeeping/sanitation practices, and the ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and correct situations.
